2020/2021 KPBA Metrowest Tryout Registration

Thanks for your interest in King Philip Metrowest Basketball.  Due to all of the challenges we are facing this year we are not as far along as we normally would be relative to reserving gym time, setting practice and game schedules, or even knowing exactly when games will start.  Please read the list of information below BEFORE registering your child for tryouts or contacting us with any questions.  We appreciate your patience as we try to navigate thru this difficult process.

• The Metro West league is planning to have a season as soon as they are given approval from the state.  We do not have any information on when that will be or what the rules will be relative to game play, however we do have to get our teams ready now in anticipation of that approval being given.
• Practices will be held at Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as all day on Saturday.  We do not currently know which day/time specific grades or teams will be practicing.
• At this time we believe games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays.
• We are looking to have tryouts before the end of October.  Due to state regulations related to Covid-19 we have to adjust our standard tryout process.  We won't be able to announce the days and times until we have registration completed, however we will make sure a scheduling conflict with tryouts does not stop your child from participating.  We know not having firm tryout dates right now might be inconvenient and appreciate your understanding.
• We would like to have tryouts, and then team registration completed so we can start practices in early November.
• The league fee this year is $390 per player not including uniform (if your child does not already have one).  If a portion of the season is cancelled due to Covid-19 a partial credit will be issued to your account with KPBA.  Please note, we do have to make commitments and incur costs as soon as we start practices.
• As always we will not focus on the third grade program until the 4th thru 8th grade teams are up and running.  We do not have any information about this years third grade program at this time.  As soon as we do we will send out an announcement and post it on our Facebook page.
• We are always trying to reach families that are new to KPBA in Norfolk, Plainville, and Wrentham.  Please share this page or our Facebook page so those that have never had a child in the program will be aware of this opportunity to play basketball.
  
• Have questions?  Please note we are receiving vague information, understandably, from the Metro West league and the state at this time.  Therefore we don't have a lot of information other then that listed above.  Things like coach assignments and uniforms will be dealt with after team registration is completed.

KPBA, it's players, coaches, and parents are all going to have to be flexible this year however we are very excited to kickoff the 2020-2021 season.  Again, we thank you for your patience.
